Butterflies

OK...so I tried to post 3 different times yesterday from my blackberry...no lucky. We spent the day in Chicago with the kiddos, which was super fun...but exhausting. I broke my camera...just the lens I think...but that is not good news for my sneak peek coming up for Sunday! I'll get something figured out...but it's really a bummer. Check out this cool photo...I am scared to death of heights and I did NOT want to go up in the tower of death. But I didn't want my kids to see my fear and create fear in them so I took one for the team. The whole time all I could think about was getting down, but not until after we took this amazing, blurry crazy shot.

Yikes...Von was sweating the whole time...he was more freaked out that I was! We were up 103 stories with nothing under us but some thick glass like stuff. How stupid are we??? Once in a lifetime stupid I guess!

so, moving on! Tomorrow is THE big day!! Holy cow, I have butterflies...I can't imaging how you all must be feeling! This was such a hard decision, I don't like looking at layouts to judge them on style...that feels wrong to me. You all put so much love and emotion into your work and for me tell you that your style doesn't fit our club is not easy to do. All of your work is beautiful, and Janelle and I appreciate your kind words of encouragement so much. So if you don't get an email from us tomorrow, please know we never looked at layouts as not being "good" enough...it was simply a style decision. And I am going to stop talking now...I could ramble on for hours until I started to cry!!! Good luck everyone!!! We will be talking to several of you tomorrow!!!!!!

Beautiful pics, as always! Sucks about your camera - I'm trying to figure out if my big flash has gone caput.

Another chiming in with best wishes for EVERYONE who's anticipating tomorrow's reveal!!

Looks like you had a scary-yet-fun outing with the fam...way to go, YOU, for bravely doing that "heights" thing...looks amazing, but quite freaky!!!

thanks girls!! The crazy thing is that the hardest part for me was making the choice to actually go up...once I was up at the top the window wasn't that bad! My husband was totally FREAKING out though...I had to drag him to the window!! So cute!

I love the picture on the new part of the Sears Tower. I have been up there but since they put that addtion. I don't think I could do it. I'm excited for the announcement. I hope I get an e-mail. I feel like I should carry my computer with me all day to check.

Wow! I don't think I could have gone up that high. Good for you all though!!

Ekkk..on the picture! There was no "floor" on glass? No thanks! ;-)

Can't wait to see who the new designers are. I am sure you made the right decisions. Point of view on style is so subjective to each person. It just has to fit with "you."

Um yeah....no thanks. YOu are a lot braver than I! And I'm sure your inboxes were flooded with loads of talented ladies. Part of the business is choosing who best will represent YOUR style...I think for anyone who tries out for any DT and doesn't get picked is disappointed but overall knows it's not personal. I'm sure whoever you picked to be a part of your team will be great!
